I was involved into project concerning rehabilitation of combined sewer system of a residential area in Aarhus, DK (supervisor Jan H Sørensen). The task was to study out the sewer system which didn't work properly, to create a plan for rehabilitation of the problems occurred in it.
Based on available data, TV-inspections for the pipelines, hydraulic and physical analysis of the system, the plan for rehabilitation had to introduce a proposal for what has to be done to solve the raised problems. Moreover the design of new pipeline was to be created in a neighbouring area, after what analysis had to show if new system can be connected to the rehabilitated one without crating new hydraulic problems.
The problems have been solved in a both ways: hydraulic and physical activities were applied (change the pipes with bigger diameter, change of the path of water flowing, no-dig methods (cutter, liner, etc), further investigations and etc.). The software which were in application for the concerned project were DAS (Danish software) and MOUSE.
All necessary drawings were created using software AutoCad.
