Office building for Vitus Bering University College Vitus Bering UC - Horsens (Denmark) - July 2007
That was a final project of Constructing Architect degree (Architectural Technology and
Construction Management). Apart of writing a dissertation (my topic was "Leadership in management"), whole semester is given to student to carry out individually five main stages of the project development. Here I worked with the design, planning and implementation of office building throughout the construction sector and other activities.
Briefly speaking, the project has following steps:
Brief (brief, idea, sketches)
Outline proposal (presentation for the client (poster, time, cost, risks), project's approval, analysis (fire, u-value, sound, materials), main static ideas, plans, facades, costs, time scheduling)
Scheme design (detailed study of the project, fulfillment of all the demands (ventilation, fire, static, sound, u-value, functioning, handicap' accessibility and etc), completed plans (each floor, foundation, roof, installation, etc), sections, facades, details)), costs, detailed time scheduling, component analysis, etc)
Detail design 1 (all the documentation and drawings modified to be presented to the authority for approval)
Detail design 2 (necessary documentation, data and drawings for the facture/manufacturing/performance of any element/trade of the building. The concrete prefabricated staircase has been chosen as an element to be studied out. All the necessary calculations, drawings and documentation were prepared for the factory and building site during the construction faze)
Moreover, all the stages of the project are supported by the Quality assurance documentation, scrutinizing, agendas and minutes meetings from the consultations with the professors and external consultants (factories, companies, authorities and etc)
There are some drawings-examples are illustrated below. If you have some quiestions or you would like to see how any kind of problem/detail was solved, you can always contact me and I will forward more information about it.
